The Latino Network of Virginia Baptists provides yearly opportunities for fellowship, learning, and growth for Latino pastors, leaders and their congregations. The two major ministries of the Latino Network are the Pastors and Leaders “Encuentro” and the Pastors and Families Retreat.
For information about the Fourth Encuentro, scheduled for Friday and Saturday April 27-28, 2007, please contact Daniel Carro, convener of the Latino Network of Virginia Baptists at 703-674-7657 or Sue Smith at 540-370-1881.
Pastors and Families Retreat. For three days each Summer, the Latino Network invites pastors, spouses and family members to our Latino Pastors and Families Retreat at CrossRoads Camp and Conference Center in Lowesville, Virginia. Our Thursday, Friday and Saturday retreat allows pastors and their families to relax, enjoy the beauty of God’s creation, play family and group games, and refresh their spirits. Each year we invite a speaker to nourish the hearts and minds of pastors and their spouses, while children’s workers lead young people in fun and spiritually-challenging activities. Meals are prepared by the CrossRoads staff just for the retreat participants. On Friday night, everyone gathers around a campfire to share testimonies, songs, and roast marshmallows.
For information about the 2007 Pastors and Families Retreat, scheduled for Thursday through Saturday August 16-18, 2007, please contact Daniel Carro, convener of the Latino Network of Virginia Baptists at 703-674-7657 or Sue Smith at 540-370-1881.
